The five-piece set with tray is designed to accommodate K40 installed radar detector platforms. Three router guides allow technicians to create exact openings to flush-mount the control unit as well as the two laser defuser sizes. These router guides are used in conjunction with a router flush trim bit to transfer the shape of the guide to the part or component that the controller or defuser will be mounted in. The included storage tray allows for storage of the router guides and router bits.
The two radar detection rings serve as a sales tool and design tool. As a sales tool the radar detection rings can be used to demonstrate to the customer why multiple shifters are needed at different locations on the vehicle. The 9" ring demonstrates the size of the detection path at 400', the 21" ring demonstrates the size of the detection path at 1000'. The detection rings allow a technician to determine best mounting locations for the laser shifters while planning an installation. The 21" radar detection ring is a 2 piece design allowing for compact storage.
